Fran-tage week: tag

Hi,
Hope you had a beautiful sunny and warm weekend as we had here in southern Ontario.
New theme for this week: Fran-tage. These products by Stampendous are gorgeous and versatile. You will see that our team has used them in lots of different ways: from tags to card, but also with jewellery or angel wings....
There are different types of products in the Fran-tage family:

The Embossing Enamels: chunky with varying granules give you a different result each time you use it. Perfect for all your vintage projects

The mica fragments that can be added to your artwork with a dries clear glue to give a lot of texture and dimension. They come in lots of beautiful colours.

The Shaved Ice: this is not mica, but iridescent plastic flakes. Although they come in only once colour, they can be put in a little plastic bag and coloured with alcohol inks. Again, use those with clear PVA glue, they look amazing on Christmas projects

The Tinsel embossing powders: Speaking of Christmas (but not exclusively), those are gorgeous glitter embossing powders and come in several colours.

So which one(s) have you got? which one(s) have you tried? You don't have any yet? Well, let's hope our team can convince you to try them out because I'm sure you will love them (I know I do!)

Starting with Neil and a beautiful tag this Monday on which he used the Mica Fragments and the Embossing Enamels.

*****

I started out with a pre printed Crafty Individuals tag and covered it with Victorian Velvet Distress Stain, some Perfect Pearl mist and let dry.
To add some texture to the tag I mixed metallic powder, UTEE crystals and glossy accents to create a "sand" and applied this to the base and top right side of the tag with a palette knife. I then added some pearlised mica fragments, pressing them into the edge of the mix. (TIP, after you put the fragments down, add a thin layer of glossy accents over them as this will keep them all in place but when dry you don't see it.)

To do the flower I cut the tattered floral out of grunge paper and used aged Ivory and Aged Taupe embossing enamels to heat emboss to give a lovely vintage texture. Glued them together and used a fancy fastener in he centre.

I stamped the image onto card in Coffee Archival ink, tore and distressed the edges, coloured with Distress Markers and Walnut Stain nk and adhered to the tag then added the flower.
To finish I added a lace trim to the bottom and used the same lace to tie at the top.

Products that Neil used.

see you tomorrow
